Identifying Empty ewes gives you a number of choices with your empty ewes
Sell your empty ewes straight after scanning into a hot mutton and re-stocker market freeing up valuable feed, whether it be grass or supplementary feed for those ewes that will have a lamb.
It will also give you a cash flow.
You need less than 1% ewes dry to pay for scanning costs. With the average percentage of ewes dry being 10% on my scanning run, you could be adding valuable cash flow to an otherwise under- performing unit.

Identify Litter Size By separating your twins from your singles you can manage your ewes to increase your lamb marking percentage.
By placing twin bearing ewes into a smaller mobs of between 150-200 ewes per paddock you can monitor the nutrition of the ewe. This means that you can enjoy having 2 lambs born with a higher body weight, giving them strength to suckle their mother shortly after birth. This is proven to increase survival rates of twins.
